DR HENG YEE LING
BVM&S (Edin), MRCVS

Area of Interest: Ophthalmology and Soft Tissue Surgery
Clinic: Farrer Branch

Dr. Heng graduated from the University of Edinburgh. During the course of her studies, she realized her interests in soft tissue surgery and in particular, veterinary ophthalmology. In 1997, she completed the Post Graduate Foundation Course in Veterinary Ophthalmology. Ophthalmology is an interesting and very challenging aspect of veterinary work as it requires a sound knowledge of internal medicine and surgery. Although her caseload is mostly eye related, she still enjoy the challenges of other fields, in particular surgery. Outside of work, she love horses, horse riding, eating and travelling.

 

DR SIMON QUEK
BSc. BVMS MRCVS

Area of Interest: Dermatology and Surgery

Dr Quek a graduate from Murdoch University, Western Australia, is the director and partner of the Mount Pleasant Animal Medical Centre and two other branch clinics in Bedok and RedHill. Dr. Quek is in general practice with a keen interest in veterinary dermatology and regularly oversees referral skin cases at the clinic. In fact, he has spent much time working with the dermatologists at Murdoch University Dermatology Clinic and completed his post-graduate studies in Veterinary Dermatology in 2003.

Dr. Quek has attended many international veterinary dermatology conferences. In collaboration with Murdoch University Dermatology Clinic and National University of Singapore, he started Singapore’s very first Intradermal Testing and Immunotherapy for atopic dogs in 2004.

In October 2009, in partnership with Heska Laboratories, Dr Quek established the first Heska IgE testing lab in South East Asia. This laboratory in Singapore provides serum IgE testing on a brand new Asian allergen panel for dogs, cats and horses.

Dr. Quek was also the Vice-President of the Singapore Veterinary Association in 2010. His other interests also include orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery. He enjoys bird watching and photography and created a calendar in 2012, comprised of a compilation of his photographs. The proceeds from the calendar sales will be donated to the Kathmandu Animal Treatment Centre.

 

DR.CHAN MUN LING
BVSc. (HONS) Melbourne

Area of Interest: Internal Medicine and Surgery
Clinic: Bedok Branch

Growing up in a family with multiple dogs, birds, fishes and rodents, it has been Dr. Chan’s passion since her youth, to become a veterinarian.  Dr. Chan has been at Mount Pleasant since graduating in 2004 from the University of Melbourne. During this time, she has developed a special interest in internal medicine and surgery. Also being an active person, her leisure activities include rock climbing and backpacking.

 

DR. ANG YILIN
BVSc. (Hons) Sydney

Area of Interest: Feline Medicine
Clinic: Farrer Branch

Dr Ang Yilin graduated from the University of Sydney, Veterinary Science with First Class Honours in 2005. She worked in the outskirts of Hunter Valley, New South Wales for a year before Joining Mount Pleasant Animal Medical Centre.   She has special interest in feline medicine & is a member of the International Society of Feline Medicine. Strangely enough, she did not like cats before until she went to vet school!  Currently, she has 2 cats - Billy, a Domestic Short-haired cat she brought back from Sydney and Kaya, a local Domestic Short Haired cat she rescued from a coffee-shop in Bedok.  Away from work, she likes watching movies and travelling.

 

 

DR. JANE TEO
BA (Architerture), BVSc. Veterinary Surgeon (Sydney)

Clinic: Bedok Branch

Dr. Teo graduated from the University of Sydney in 2009 and has been a valued member of the clinic since then. She is a veterinarian who enjoys life to the fullest, being both very dedicated to her job and also loving to travel and enjoying good food.

 

DR. PRABHPREET KAUR
BVSc (Sydney) BSc (Vet) (Hons) (Sydney)

Area of Interest: Internal Medicine
Clinic: Clementi Branch

Dr. Kaur graduated from the University of Sydney in 2008. She worked with the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore and was the Deputy Director for Animal Quarantine and Border Control for several years, before leaving to join Mount Pleasant Animal Medical Centre. Dr. Kaur has a keen interest in internal medicine, especially dermatology, as well as the requirements and health needs for international movement of animals. In her spare time, Dr. Kaur cooks and bakes with her children and manages her menagerie of animals at home.

 

DR. AMANDA SIM
BVMS (HD) Murdoch BSc (Hons) NUS

Area of Interest: Internal Medicine
Clinic: Clementi Branch

Dr. Sim graduated from Murdoch University with high distinction for her Veterinary Degree. Before deciding to become a Vet she also comleted her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at the National University of Singapore. Dr. Sim grew up loving animals. It was only after completing her undergraduate degree that she finally decided to develop this passion into a career. She currently has a cat which she adopted during her stay in Perth. Dr. Sim enjoys living an active lifestyle. Her hobbies include running and travelling.
